I'm Ella, a Melbourne based mum to two girls: Frankie (4) and Sofia (almost 2), and the very tired assistant to our slightly overweight chocolate Labrador, Gigi, who's fairly certain she's the one actually in charge.

Before Poonami, I'd built a career in corporate Marketing. Having Frankie changed a lot for me, not just the obvious things, but the way I thought about how I wanted to spend my time, what actually mattered to me, and the kind of life I wanted for our family. I found myself wanting more balance and more genuine happiness and fulfilment than the path I was on could offer.

Just before I gave birth to Sofia, I decided to start building something of my own. Poonami is part of that — a business I believe in, built to make one small part of parenting a little easier for other families navigating the same juggle of work, kids, and everything in between. But it's also part of something bigger for me: over the last few years I've paid a lot more attention to my own health and wellbeing, and to figuring out what a genuinely fulfilling life looks like for me and my family, not just what I assumed it was supposed to look like.

I don't have it all figured out. But I'm glad to be building this for other parents, and for myself — one step at a time.
